I was about to book a holiday to the south island and visit the moeraki boulders along the journey and was hoping to do some rock hunting whilst I was down that way. (Hopefully in summer now!!) Any other recommendations for places around Waitaki or Lake Tekapo areas please?
I fossick only on beaches, such as Leithfield Beach, Birdlings Flat, near Jack’s Point at Timaru, and 2 kms north of Kakanui. You will find Posts on these in the Blog. Sorry I can’t be more helpful.
