January 2022, Stone of the Day #16 – Another Slope Point Rhyolite?

When I presented Stone #12, also found at Slope Point, I discussed why it was possible it was not rhyolite. The same argument applies to Stone #16, which was polished in the same batch, finishing the process early this month:

Certainly a volcanic stone, the close-up views reveal its extraordinary complexity and tiny intricate details.

It is probably a rhyolite, one of the interesting variety of volcanic stones to be found at Slope Point.

Stone of the Day #17 is here (yet to be linked). The Index to the January 2022 Stone of the Day Series is here.
