The eleventh stone in this Series is another green one, this time with white patches. It has some similarities to Stones W119 and W141 in the Post on “Stones with Opaque White Patches” in the Series on “Gemstone Beach and its Stones: An Introduction for the Passing Motorist”. The two “sides” of the stone are quite different, with Side A showing good patches of white quartz and Side B having little white but showing some interesting brecciated (fragmented) material.
The green is likely to be epidote, with the range of epidote greens – from a light pistachio to a brighter emerald – shown in Mindat.
